Mississipi...

First block from the beautiful book bought last week end: 163 blocs de patchwork traditionnels et originaux from Les Editions de Saxe. I just begin with Mississipi a bloc designed by Akemi Moriizumi; it use blue, white, red fabric and I think I'll do some other blocks from this designer using those colors to make later a 14th of july bunting... why? It's National Day here in France and the colors are those of the French flag. But if my daughter wants it to celebrate the 4th of july ,I will be happy too! the colors are the same! Mississipi! I would like to go there! it means for me the country of music, stream boats and Tom Sawyer's story...
